Subaru Blue Super Coolant. Just curious for my own knowledge, is there anything chemically special about Subaru's Blue Super Coolant that differentiates it from regular green long life coolant that I can buy for 1/4 the price? Meh, you can run the blue coolant in older Subaru's. As long as you thoroughly flush all the old green stuff out of the system, you can start running the blue super coolant. Hell, you can dump blue coolant in with the green coolant. If you're running a "mix" of the two, the lifespan is the same as if it was pure green coolant.
